Angelina Jolie In Gerard Darel

Thursday, March 6th, 2008 at 9:46 pm

Angelina Jolie hides her baby bump with a Gerard Darel Long Dress in Mauve from their spring collection. Angelina’s stylist Jen Rade saw the 2008 Gerard Darel ad campaign with Charlotte Gainsbourg and felt that the long dresses were perfect for Angelina. Jen quickly ordered 3 dresses in different colors, but all the same style. Angelina is shown wearing the mauve colored Gerard Darel dress.

She also has a blue and a patterned/floral dress with a variety of spring colors. Angelina has been a fan of Gerard Darel for quite some time! She wore the sweater bag all winter long and has placed an order for the same bag that is being made in cotton. For additional information, visit www.gerarddarel.com

Johnson’s Baby Oil Lavender To Remove Eye Make Up

Thursday, March 6th, 2008 at 11:02 am

product_36.jpg

I always hear about eye makeup remover, but never buy any. It just happens to be one of the things that I’m a scrooge in buying. I’m already spending money on cleansers, facial make up removers, lotions, etc. and now I have to buy eye makeup remover?! I usually end up trying to get as much off as I can and then waking up with racoon eyes the next day. I continue to scrub as much off in the shower the but there’s sometimes a small trace of eyeliner still present.

Well this year I’m trying to be better about it, and I’ve been hearing about Johnson’s Baby Oil Lavender being able to do the trick. Plus you can get a huge bottle for like $5! Dab a cotton ball in the baby oil and gently rub your eye lid until the make up is gone. Becareful not to get any in your eye as with any make up remover.

Cost: $4.08 (14 fl oz)

Purchase at drugstore.com.

Wearing The Feather Trend

Thursday, March 6th, 2008 at 11:01 am

feathers.jpg

Feathers are all over the place this spring- especially in accessories and prints.

This look can be hard to wear without looking like you’ve got a dreamcatcher tattoo hidden somewhere on your body, but if you keep things a little bit spare otherwise, feathers add a touch of luxe-bohemian to even a more reserved look. I saw them all over the place out shopping yesterday, decorating everything from shoes to bags to dresses.

This tunic dress from Saks, top left, combines the feather trend with this Spring’s exuberant colors and ladylike shapes. $270, available here.

Top middle, Plumage Feather Earrings, Urban Outfitters, $18, here. Top right, Fred Flare Peacock Feather Earrings, $14, here. Bottom right, Free People necklace, on sale for $99.95, here. Bottom left, Urban Outfitters heartbreaker tee, $32, here.

L’Occitane Ultra Moisturizing Fluid SPF 20

Thursday, March 6th, 2008 at 11:01 am

I love L’Occitane products! They make my face feel smooth, fresh, and clean. I’ve been using these products for just about two weeks and I can already see a difference in my skin - and I have bad skin! Their Ultra Moisturizing Fluid is a combination of shea butter and mineral sun filters, not heavy or a weighted substance, and it leaves your skin silky smooth. My face has never felt softer! I know this sounds like a paid infomercial, but I feel like I’ve tried everything when it comes to moisturizers. Plus this has SPF 20 which is very important.

Cost: $30.00
Size: 1.7 oz

Purchase at L’Occitane En Provence.

Why Can’t Everything We Own Be This Cute?

Thursday, March 6th, 2008 at 11:01 am

umbrellatime.jpg

I am a person with ugly umbrellas. Not just ugly either- deadbeats, too. They never seem to be around when I need one. I was stuck in a storm yesterday, looking out of a picture window and waiting to run to the parking lot, when this girl ran by me in a cute skirt. She was opening a beautiful red-and-white polka dot umbrella. Umbrella lust has haunted me since.

The rich-people umbrella at the top left is by Burberry and is available at Saks for $225. This one is my favorite; I’m not a Burberry person but that script is beautiful. The Brooks Brothers umbrella at top right, $60, reminds me of the ones assistants hold over celebrities as they get into cars. Available here. The Banana Republic version at bottom right echoes this spring’s brights, $38, here, and at bottom left, Moschino’s trying out an abstract giraffe print, $83.95, available here.
