Can you imagine putting on a bra and saying to yourself “No more back fat!” ? Well that’s what Ashley Stewart Stores is promising with The Butterfly Collection, a new bra line the company co-created with neo-soul singer Jill Scott.
The unsightly crease caused by the back strap on traditional bras was just one of many frustrations that drove Scott to approach the plus size chain with the goal of creating a bra line designed for well endowed, full figured ladies. Not only was The Butterfly Collection Scott’s brainchild, She came prepared to design.
The result of Scott’s hands-on pitch is a line of three bras and matching panties that will be available at Ashley Stewart stores starting in May. Each style features a crossed “butterfly” double back strap (which inspired the collection’s name) as well as gel-padded shoulder straps for added comfort.
