I got Lucky magazine this month and there was a page about what Hilary Duff considers to be her favorite things. I already wrote about her beauty favorite, but here are her shopping ones. While 90% of then are completely out of my budget, it’s always nice to know.

I’ve always thought eyelet had the magical ability to turn grown women into little girls … but these simple and chic dresses have changed my mind.    

The lined sheath, with it’s simple empire shape, removable straps and clean lines, is perfect for a summer garden party, daytime wedding or just a weekend stroll. Pair it with a cardigan, a strand of pearls, or just let it stand on it’s own, in chic simplicity. It is available in basic white, grass-green and sunburst-yellow, and is on sale for $55 from Victoria’s Secret.   

 The tiers on the bell sleeve dress could veer it towards the too-cutesy, but the classic square neckline, elegant unlined sleeves & lack of poof in the tiers, keep it solidly on the right side of chic. Perfect for cooler summer nights or overly air-conditioned venues, the bell sleeves and basic black will also let you keep it in rotation through the days and nights of early Fall – when it’s still too warm for a classic Fall dress, but you don’t want to wear anything overly ‘summery’. It’s currently on special at Victoria’s Secret for $89, and is available in basic black or crisp white.

I can’t say that I really want to dress like Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, but after seeing some pieces in a magazine this month, I’m jealous that they’re both fans- and owners- of several pieces of Gorjana jewelry. A visit to the website proves that those two troublemakers aren’t alone- Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Lopez and Claire Danes- one of my style role models- wear the line as well.

Given its high profile, the line’s surprising affordability is great- very few of the simpler pieces are over $100. They’ve got a nice, pared-down look that offset’s this spring’s bold colors and shapes. The bangles pictured above are available here and run $26 each. I’d like to get just one and wear it all summer against tan skin.
