The other day I wrote a post about being adventurous with the nail color blue (Rescue Beauty, ‘Dead Calm’) but if you’re just not a color gal, here’s a few tips to help you pick out The Best Neutral Shades for your nails. One key tip is that the neutral shade should match your skin tone. I have fair skin with a cool tone, so one my best shades for my nails is Essie’s Sugar Daddy, check out yours!

Smashbox O-Glow

Just yesterday I review the Smashbox O-Gloss so I figured I’d keep with the second item from the “O” series of “intuitive” makeup with Smashbox O-Glow. This one is supposed to give you that “flushed look” and I have to say, for me, it worked. I saw another girl trying it with an olive complexion and it looked great on her as well. The only problem I have with it, is it doesn’t last. I don’t mind reapplying my lip gloss, because it’s easy to do and I’m obsessive that way. However blush NEEDS to stay on all day, or at the very least 5 hours.

I tried it on at Sephora and by the time I had lunch and went home it was gone. Which meant it wore off in less than 3 hours. Not good. Not good at all. Considering your paying $26 dollars you’d want it to stand the test of time. For those of you that don’t mind reapplying every so often I think it’s a great blush, or flush. It goes on clear and it’s silky smooth, a bit like a frizz serum only not sticky. You just use your fingertips to rub it into your skin and wait a few seconds and the color should begin to show. I would say it’s pink and I think most of you would agree, but it doesn’t come across as bubble gum, but more like a flush color and unfortunately on one girl like someone slapped her.

It wasn’t for me, but it could be great for you. I think it’s worth a trip to your local Sephora to at least try it out.

Cost: $26.00

Sail Away

With warm weather brewing why not have a great nautical look to go with it? I love the look of sailor pants but could never find them in affordable plus sizes till this season.

This look is great for any occasion such as running errands, poolside, or business casual at work. The buttons on the waist help create a distraction from any tummy flaws one may have and also helps accent a plain pant if you don’t wear many accessories these are great to have to help jazz up an outfit.

I put together some key pieces to really create a fresh fun spring look.

1. Sailor Pants (Top left) - $39

2. Sailor Pants (Middle) - $49

3. Ralph Lauren top - $65 $23.99

4. Short belted trench - $199 (free shipping & free cosmetic bag)

5. Buckle bracelet - $12.50

6. Seahorse necklace - $16.50
