Get A Free Skin Cancer Screening from The Skin Cancer Foundation

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at 1:26 pm

avenoTout1

I was pretty shocked by this statistic–each year, over one million Americans are diagnosed with skin cancer, making it the most common form of cancer in the United States.  The good news is that it’s also one of the most preventable and curable forms of cancer, provided it’s detected early.  That’s why I loved hearing about this:

With visits to more than 50 cities at 100 different locations, The Skin Cancer Foundation’s ‘Road to Healthy Skin Tour’ will be offering free skin cancer screenings with Board-Certified Dermatologists to people across the country. It’s an easy way to get your annual skin check—and a healthy way to start on the road to healthier skin.”

The tour is presented by Aveeno and Rite Aid, and they’ll also give you tips on how to stay sun-safe in between screenings.  Go to aveeno.com for tour dates and locations this summer, and read more about our picks for max-SPF cosmetics and max-SPF sunscreen!

Why Would You Buy Clear Lip Liner?

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at 12:45 pm

DW013-reverse-lipliner

Because it’s a great investment!  Read this:

Clear lip-liner will keep the contour of your lipstick refined without looking harsh and artificial.  It creates a physical barrier that blocks color from seeping into those teeny vertical lines around your lips, so color stays neat on your lips.”

So if you’re a fan of lipstick, or use it for fancy occasions, apply clear lip liner first (to any color), and no more worrying about that “ring-around-the-rosy” look when your lipstick fades through the night.  It stays put, and helps your lipstick color stay put too!

All of these are great choices:

DuWop Reverse Lip Liner ($19) -picured above

benefitdliner Benefit D’Finer D’Liner ($18)

ALR900022 Revlon ColorStay Lipliner in Clear ($7.99)
